    "Designed by a solidly average surfer who goes by Larry.

    He begged us to drop the nickname. “I’ve got five kids now,” he said.

    But once you earn a name like Dirty Larry, it sticks—no matter how many carpools you drive.

    Some nicknames are just too good to let die."
